Activities Attendant--Part Time

Department: Parks
Location: Dawsonville, GA

Position Summary:

Responsible for arranging, executing and supervising all indoor and outdoor guest activity games/functions, providing privacy and safety at Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge.


Job Requirements:

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should perform the following essential functions of the position:

  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
  • Be familiar with all park services/features, lodge amenities and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
  • Process miscellaneous charges
  • Maintain Library of Resources
  • Set up/close activities station
  • Assist with maps and directions
  • Maintain flags, raise and lower according to procedure times
  • Log prizes, which are given out
  • Stock, display and loan/rent recreational equipment
  • Reserve sporting activities, when requested
  • Coordinate tournaments/games
  • Distribute activities sheets
